There are lots of reasons why you should exercise and I’m sure you have heard of lot of them – lose weight, feel better about yourself, get stronger, come back from an injury, get into shape after your baby.
What you have might not have heard though is the excuses and reasons that people bring up not join in and have fun.
- I NEED TO GET INTO SHAPE FIRST BEFORE I START TO SEE YOU
I actually hear this more than any other excuse and its not only funny but outright strange lol Strange because the reason you get a personal trainer is to get into shape. Thats why you hire me to train you, push you, teach you, motivate you – because your out of shape to start with. It’s funny to think some people think they are gonna go away for a few weeks, get into shape themselves, all for the reason to impress me with their fitness when they start.
What they really mean is that they think they are too out of shape, that they will be embarrassed or are too shy or scared to join in. Fear of the unknown and meeting new people are some of the most scary things in life just like public speaking.
You have nothing to worry about though!
There is no starting or baseline fitness needed to start. My training scales to every fitness level whether your 50kgs overweight, have never exercised, or an elite athlete. To be honest, 99 percent of everyone I train is overweight, out of shape and struggle to exercise. We’re all in the same boat, and everyone helps each other.
2. I CAN’T AFFORD IT
My outdoor 1 hour group fitness adelaide sessions are only $20. Thats 1 pack of cigarrettes a week, 2 drinks in a hotel, a few bags of lollies. Anyone can afford $20 to get into shape and get fit. You’ll have fun too doing weights, cardio, and kickboxing and meeting new friends.
3. I HAVE NO TIME
It’s only 60 minutes outta of your life and if you do personal training sessions 45 minutes. It’s practical and efficient. Come in, train, worry about nothing, i plan and do everything for you, then you leave happy while your metabolism is kicking into overdrive all day and your burning fat and calories.
4. TOO HARD WITH KIDS
Bring your kids. Lots of people do. I also do special “Mums n Bubs” sessions for new mothers fitness.
5. IM TOO SHY AND SCARED
Most people are. Thats fine. Nearly everyone that trains is the same and understands that so they will help you and go out of there way to be nice. Everyone I train is awesome and has their own story to tell. Our Sunday session we all go for coffee afterwards. It’s good fun.
